Speaking at the event, Dr. Abbas-Ali Kadkhodaei, head of the Research Institute of the Constitutional Council, emphasized “the national-religious charter of the Constitution”, noting, "The Constitution is a shared charter for all citizens of Iran, and its importance cannot be overstated."
The senior jurist further highlighted the need for deeper analysis of the Constitution's provisions, particularly those related to freedoms.
He noted that academic institutions should devote more attention to these discussions.
Kadkhodaei also emphasized the importance of exploring the profound insights of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Seyed Ali Khamenei on the Constitution, given his position as both the country's Leader and a prominent religious scholar.
"The Constitution is rooted in both religious principles and popular sovereignty," Kadkhodaei said. "It guarantees the rights and freedoms of the Iranian people, unlike Western countries that have committed numerous human rights abuses under the guise of freedom."
