Dr. Rahimi said the Constitution incorporates robust human rights safeguards aligned with international standards, stressing the importance of actively disseminating this information both domestically and internationally to counter misinformation and hostile narratives.
"Our Constitution is a progressive document that surpasses many international standards," he said. "Unfortunately, many, both within and outside the country, remain unaware of these provisions due to the influence of foreign media."
The Minister highlighted the crucial role of the Constitutional Council's Research Institute in promoting the Constitution. "We must not only protect the Constitution through legislation but also ensure its faithful execution across all branches of government."
Rahimi underscored the importance of fostering a culture of constructive criticism. "We should encourage citizens, students, and academics to freely express their opinions and hold us accountable to the Constitution," he said. "This open dialogue will strengthen our democracy and ensure that the Constitution serves as a true guide for our nation."
The Minister concluded by expressing hope that the conference on "People's Rights and Legitimate Freedoms in the Thought of Ayatollah Khamenei" would serve as a catalyst for greater attention to the Constitution and its implementation.
